Four years have passed since the “World Hell Organization” (WHO) imposed pandemic hysteria on the world, instructing government officials to impose extreme measures to reduce the spread of an infectious virus, COVID-19, without providing any objective understanding of its origin, and severity or therapeutic drug treatments.
It is a bittersweet anniversary for the tyrannical Left, which still longs for the days when a neighbor was pitted against a neighbor over insane remedies including social distancing, masking, school closures, and business restrictions. These are the same people warning that another pandemic could be lurking. We had better be prepared, they shriek. In fact, the WHO is campaigning to convince sovereign nations to approve a Pandemic Treaty that would grant the WHO total control over responses — including vaccine mandates — to any pandemic event in the future. It is part of the Great Reset playbook to disrupt the existing global social order. The WHO convenes a global conference in May. Be vigilant, friends.
We have been advised that every American state is becoming a “border state”. It’s not hyperbole. As the illegal immigrant invasion continues along the U.S.-Mexico border, millions of undocumented human beings are surging into our homeland with the assistance of federally funded humanitarian organizations. Where will all of these people go? We now know there is a very strong likelihood that some will find their way to Greensboro, North Carolina.
How do we know? The Department of Health and Human Services swept into North Carolina a couple of years ago to acquire a defunct private school and its 400,000-plus square foot campus populated by 31 buildings, an $18 million athletic center, and a 22-acre lake. The facility has been re-purposed to accommodate 800 beds. The DHHS designates the property as an “influx care facility” for minor children, ages 13 to 17, of illegal immigrants, according to media reports.
According to the mayor of Greensboro, the facility was scheduled to become operational imminently, on March 15. However, little is known about what is awaiting its future inhabitants. A North Carolina congressional delegation submitted on March 7 a widely circulated letter to DHHS Secretary Xavier Becerra expressing frustration among lawmakers who have been stonewalled at every turn. Rep. Richard Hudson (NC-09) and Sen. Thom Tillis submitted formal “questions for the record” (QFRs) in July and November 2023. To date, the department has failed to respond to these basic questions about plans to ensure the well-being of the unaccompanied minors who will be held inside the facility, and how the local community and surrounding areas will be impacted by these operations.
Meanwhile, in Chicago, a self-proclaimed sanctuary city open to illegal intruders, health officials are nervously watching as cases of measles are on the rise, including several that originated inside a so-called migrant center in the Pilsen neighborhood. Measles is breaking out in numerous cities. Citizens are only now beginning to weigh the consequences of an open southern border as the disruptions to daily life expand beyond Arizona and Texas.
The Biden regime insists that economic data points tell a story of an economy in full recovery. Happy days are here again! But the reality is quite the opposite. The latest blow to the Bidenomics narrative was a decision by Family Dollar to close 1,000 locations in coming months. The retailer caters to Americans who live on razor-thin budgets and pinch every penny. But Family Dollar’s revenues have been nuked. Its fourth-quarter operations delivered a $1.7 billion loss. That’s not a downturn; that’s an implosion. It’s a real-life window into the struggles families are enduring in the face of persistently high inflation. Everything costs significantly more than three years ago at the onset of the Biden regime.
Another cautionary tale: Executives at the McDonald’s Corporation are seeing an exodus from their restaurants, known for value-priced menu items. Consumers are finding they can’t even afford the McDonald’s dining experience, opting instead for bargains at grocery stores and dining at home. Your host recently encountered a woman in the community who told him her family might have to forego its annual tradition of corned beef and cabbage on St. Patrick’s Day. The main ingredients are no longer cheap staples.
