Welcome back, Liberty seekers. We wish the news coming out of the D.C. Swamp was better but, alas, the ruling elites in Congress have betrayed us once again. No, not the Marxists masquerading as Democrats. We have identified the enemy. It is lurking among us. They masquerade as Republicans, led by House Speaker Mike Johnson, a self-described Christian conservative.
But after passing another obscene spending bill (to avert a so-called government shutdown), Johnson and his slim House Republican majority should be on their knees, praying for God’s forgiveness. I, for one, have grown weary of their pleas. Forgive us, they say. What choice did we have but to go along with a $1.2 trillion spending package that only Democrats could love? We know we should withhold every dime until the Biden regime closes the southern border. But that won’t play well in an election year. Thus, the border is open and so is the vein that is bleeding dry our economic stability.
Any alert American who is not furious about this betrayal by Johnson and 100 other House Republicans needs to become reacquainted with the federal debt clock. It is not ticking. It is clanging. It is a death knell surging toward $35 trillion. Johnson’s budget in 2024 is likely to operate at an extreme deficit — perhaps $2 trillion. It continues to spend money that does not exist.
And who went right along with a spending bill that funds, among other pet projects of the Left, a gay senior citizens’ facility in Massachusetts, and a “diversity, equity and inclusion” initiative at the San Diego Zoo? None other than Rep. Richard Hudson (NC-09), who has nary a fiscally conservative fiber in his spineless body. Hudson represents Moore County. He’s our “guy”. He needs to hear from his constituents. Hudson needs to understand that there is no patience for elected servants who appear dedicated to Making America Broke Again.
Call Hudson’s offices. Raise your voice. Be loud. Washington: 202-225-3715. Southern Pines: 910-910-1924. He has an X/Twitter account, too. Hammer it. Hudson often references his young son. What will he tell the young man in years to come when the kid figures out his Dad facilitated plunging his generation into debt slavery? How will he react when he can’t afford to give even a passing thought to the “American Dream”?
It has been a week of torture for Americans who think for themselves, aka, “domestic terrorists”. At the Supreme Court, lefty Marxist justice Ketanji Brown Jackson lamented during a hearing that the pesky First Amendment “hamstrings” tyrannical federal overlords from censoring speech during a health crisis. Why should freedom of speech have a leg to stand on when the government in concert with its Silicon Valley field marshals has an agenda to carry out? Don’t be silly.
There was one bit of solace. A CNN poll of Michigan voters finds Donald Trump widening his lead in a showdown with old Joe Biden, 50-42. Even when the survey added Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Dr. Cornel West to a theoretical ballot, Trump still prevails over Biden. And here’s another data point that will keep Biden’s goons awake at night. Among independents in Michigan, 45% told CNN they are “less than solidly decided” about who they will support for President in November.
Finally, friends, a third-party research firm — Gladstone A.I. — was contracted during the past 18 months by the U.S. State Department to provide an “assessment of proliferation and security risk from weaponized and misaligned AI.” The news is not good but not unexpected.
Reports TheStreet.com, “The report … focuses on two key risks: the weaponization of AI and a potential loss of human control. In terms of weaponization, the report warns that models can be used to power everything from mass disinformation campaigns to large-scale cyberattacks, going on to suggest that advanced, future models might be able to assist in the creation of biological weaponry.”
Vigilance, friends. Vigilance.
